Dessert from the tasting menu at Le Chantecler

One of the dessert from the tasting menu of Le Chantecler - a 2 Michelin star restaurant in the Negresco hotel in Nice. Passion fruit sorbet encased in a meringue, resting on a bed of tropical fruit and panna cotta.
I think it was the best course of the evening.

foie gras et confit d'oignon macaron from Jean-Luc Pelé @ Cannes

Strolling through downtown Cannes, I was attracted by the colourful display of the Jean-Luc Pelé macaron shop. I ate quite a bit of macrons in Paris last week already, so I wasn't planning to try anything, but I decided that I had to after I saw the series of foie gras ones. I used my broken francais to order the foie gras et confit d'oignon macaron, and when I told him that's all I wanted, he just gave it to me and said it was free. I felt bad so I quickly retreated out of the store... 

New Prada sunglasses

One of the new Prada sunglasses. It's quite fun, with a row of Marc-Jacob-ish daisies at the top of the frame, but I am not sure if I would want to wear them full time. (BTW, none of the shopping bags are mine!)
